Stamped Produce

It is last day of my holiday and I have crammed in as much as possible and feel full of energy. This morning after a lazy start to the day I cooked pancakes and then continued sewing the stamped items that I'd made the previous day. All in all I made four cushions and a large tote bag. Not to shabby for a mornings effort. It helps when you've some of the hard work the night before, cutting.

I've used a recycled woollen grey blanket, which I originally brought to make a peasant dress up from the op shop. It is a  little thin in places and the patched pillow has some particularly thin bits.
All the pillows are zippered with recycled zippers also from the op shop

The grey really complements the naturally berry dyed cotton, don't you think?

I'm calling this the mushroom patch pillow.

And the sheet of pomegranate stamped pink material finally got used to make a super large tote. I couldn't bring myself to chop the material to a smaller size. This is lined with orange pin stripped material, also a bargain find at the op shop.
(I must spend a lot of time wandering in and out of op shops, but usually its just a quick visit in passing)

After my little sewing stint I headed off to Southport for some super boogie board riding, the waves were fantastic. Lots of people obviously had the same idea we did but there was plenty of fun to be had by all.
My sister lost her board on one wave and ended up on the back of another board rider and caught a wave in with him. He was pretty good natured about it and his mates got a great giggle out of it!

  1. The mushroom cushions look great.
Using woollen blankets is a great idea. A wonderful contrast in textures.
